As soon as that picture was mentioned, I knew that it was going to bite everyone's ass.
Besides that, I find JKs reappearance happened way too fast. I would've liked it more, if Dan had some time underwater before getting out and having some kind of realization or wake-up call. That being said, I don't even fully understand why this was a scene in the first place. I don't believe he would kill himself before his grandma ultimately passes (her death would probably be a triggering point), even though I get that his life is just really hard. So... weird choice
