honestly I'm not a parent but it took me barely surviving the stress of hisghchool thanks to undiagnosed/untreated adhd and constant bullying to understand that sometimes skipping a day can be good for your mental health. As long as there is a certain level of responsability in keeping up academically to get at least decent grades I see no problem.
