Today at class we learned abt freud's psychoanalytic theory and I remembered abt the childhood friend love trope. I used to hate that trope because literally the most recent interaction this paring was when they were children. But now it now makes sense why lots of mangas have a childhood friend love interest even if the ML/FL haven't seen them ever since they were kids. Theres sum psychological shiz going on.

im psych major student here :)) we all dont like Freud in some kinda way lolol and he had this theory about i**est where he said men tend to find similarities between their mother and the women they love and want to abcxyz with (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ like ew no ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ I suggest books about attachment styles if you are interested in relationship dynamics
