I read til' the end hoping for some kind of cathartic outcome but there was none for me. Ahh this isn't the manga for me since the beginning. The MC might have moved on and got into terms with his loss and his own identity but going back to the source of all his suffering does not make any sense for me nor give me any sort of closure. Or maybe he just really loved the circus so much he came back to it, got together with his molesters wife and moved on. It's very unhealthy tbh.
But if you're the type of person who like this kind of suffering, you might enjoy reading this. Goodluck!

Firstly, this kinda reminded me a bit of Heart no Kakurega because of the age gap thing and living together but to my surprise I liked Sakurai really well.. His sentiments resonate well with me as adult that was mostly uninterested with everything to the point of just "well whatever" stage in life, especially if you have neglectful parents or family.
More than a romance, I see this as a story of coming into terms of acceptance that one day we will have to face the things we have been avoiding, and making peace with our past that we are harboring that burdens us until our adult life. Especially the part where Sakurai wanted to know the truth about Youichi's mother. A large part of him wanted to settle things about his past so he could finally move on.
We were given the perspective of a boy and adult and how they cope with their own internal struggles. These kind of topics maybe something simple for other people, but to others, results of bad parenting can be disastrous and they carry this baggage for so long in their life.

People hating on Fujita don't seem to understand that it's very difficult to stay in an "ambiguous" relationship. It's very emotionally tiring and draining not knowing what you are to someone you love. You will eventually suffer thinking that you're the only one loving, or where the "relationship" or whatever it was that you have will go. For all Fujita knows, he's just might be some practice buddy.
Can you imagine how confusing that was? You're not dating, you're not a couple, but you're friends but you also have sex with said friend but you really don't know how he feels about you??? Should he try and potentially destroy a non-existent relationship or suck it up and continue being friends and move on? So what did he do? Of course he'd try and move on, that's the healthiest and most rational thing to do.
Kawasaki NEVER truly clarified anything especially his feelings nor give Fujita a chance to friggin' talk or explain. Let's face it, he was too afraid of how he would get hurt or how he would get rejected again. It was so frustrating to be in Fujita's shoes tbh. Anybody at that point will surely burst out.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
That being said, I really really like Kawasaki still and Fujita because they were so human. Humans do stupid things all the time when they're in love. If you never did stupid things then you have never truly loved. This story is more relateable than Okosama star imo.

I know, especially if close friendships are on the line, I mean would you want to destroy even a friendship? There is just a line you don't want to cross in this kind of situation.. even you love each other very much, even if you have done all sorts of stuff beyond friendship.. Though in this story it's more of a miscommunication. lol. Love them as well.ヾ(☆▽☆)

I really like Keiichii tbh. No matter how I look at it, it was Shingo who was topping the relationship all the time. It was always been him. Kakami was always the one who bends over backwards, running around in circles, always reassuring him, telling him how much he loves him, telling him he's not gonna abandon him, that's he's cute, that's he's the only one. He was always upfront with his intentions. And he did not cheat. Cheating is reciprocal. It's just work.
Yet Shingo has never given him a straight answer all the time, always in doubt, bottling everything up and keeping it to himself. Not saying the most important things. And when he feels depressed, he just tunes out. (thus the scent issue). It was also the reason why Keiichi wanted to go back to being fbuddies, yes? It is hard to keep feeling like the relationship is always one-sided. So yeah, I really like Keiichi because I have a personality like Shingo. Lol. Somehow they remind me of Kurose and Shirotani... that story "what is your secret" remained a secret til the end. But somehow I got the impression that Ryouji didn't really forget that 3 years. When it showed the part where the stalker approached him, he looked interested/curious by the fact that a guy liked him, replying "really..". He even dodged the question whether he likes guys from the start. He isn't innocent, even saying that that cafe isn't somewhere people usually wander to.
I think he had a relationship with that guy (an abusive one), actually, because how did they end up with his stalker's photo? who took him to the hospital? also, if you look at the cover of chapter 5 (the unknown hand doing the camera sign at Ryouji; only the stalker like to take photos). And then the breakup text saying "I can't do this anymore." It makes me think that he was feeling honestly guilty. I think he was in a relationship with the stalker but since he really liked Motoki, he felt guilty for deceiving him and decided to end the relationship. I think he also broke the relationship with the other guy after some time but it turned ugly, thus resulting to the accident. He cannot predict his friend's actions tho, and acted like he didn't remember anything from that 3 years because he felt disgusted with himself.
Or maybe Ryouji was just really abused, kept captive and traumatized and had become suicidal at one point, feeling disgusted with himself. Afraid for his life, running away to keep Motoki and his friend away from danger. Knowing this, Tsuyoshi wanted Ryouji to be happy again and bugged Motoki to "fix things".

It's really good, and I'm really moved.. Especially Yasu's confession on the first story and Dai's message at the end, back when they were students. It's really a mature and open minded way of thinking. Things don't always go the way we want it, so sometimes, we need to change our view about it, or else we'll end up getting stuck.

Yes. This may sound bad but the seme is just a manipulative sadist who enjoys seeing the people he likes to get "broken". Ranzo was portrayed as the mantis but the parasite Is deadlier, just like that butler, jumping from one prey to another. The mother, then the kid.
Then we have the traumatized uke, who, miraculously shows empathy after being "loved" or rather manipulated by that seme. I wanna give him a chance cuz he's got no one normal to guide him, but unless he asks for forgiveness from Ranzo, I will still dislike him. They ( the butler only) even tried to kill the poor soul, w/c I'm pretty sure was kept by their father as a sex object.
I only read further to know what will happen to those two poor souls, Ranzo and the mailman. Pls, mr mailman, can you just take him and elope ? Leave the crazies behind. If they get hurt even more or one of them dies, I'm gonna ragequit and give this a one star.
Kudos to mangaka for making me feel these things tho. What were you thinking? Lol.
The story's was really good from the start, but I can't help but feel frustration as the story just keeps on being dragged out. It's becomes tiring being introduced from one problem to the next, or another character to the next (that you really wouldn't care about, tbh) without giving the reader any breather. Maybe the author is aiming for some dramatic build-up/climax for the story of how they will overcome such hardships, but I don't feel like it was really necessary for this manga..
A little more and I will slip further away from this story as well... This kind of story is something that I could not read twice, I mean I have read other heartbreaking stories but this one just more on the tiring side. Σ( ̄□ ̄||) IDK.. sigh*
