I THINK SO TOOO. When I saw his first (or second?) appearance at the party on the balcony with Ilya (mc) His dark hair shines a bit reddish at the tip because of the sunset. A few chapters after that, in his flashbacks, Mc's ex found her lying on the field of grass. My guess is Karhan was the one who pulled her out of the water, and her ex was just claiming that he was the one who saved her.
Her ex found her and called the servants ig and ppl around her said he was the one who saved her. I forgot the details. Anyway, it was alr explained that he didn't have that much interest in her except her wealth. There was this one whole section/chapter that was dedicated solely for his background motives, thoughts, and hints.
Yes, after i read the latest chapter my brain automatically came with the conclusion that it was Karhan that saved her. Knowing his personality, he probably thought that if he were to ask for help for Ilya to be looked after by a doctor after saving her from the drowning incident that people would've jumped to conclusions that it was probably his fault and maybe wanted to avoid the consequences of that. Thats why he left her in a safe grass field to be seen by someone who might help her later on?. But as you said that Rehart trash found her and decided to use her and take advantage of her just for her wealth.
Not surprised Shaia is acting this way, he has always shown this side of him from time to time when he was a kid, until Daato showed up to reprehend him. Like, the first time he fought with his twin brother Hugo over a toy, and scratched Daato's arm by accident when Daato was trying to separate them and make them stop fighting.
Or the time when the twins met theo for the first time and they started treating theo as a slave, especially shaia before Daato stepped in to reprehend them about their behavior towards their service.
I'm pretty sure there's being others instances were we can see glimpses of this attitude on shaia when he was a kid. But, nevertheless, i am not jumping to conclusions about this attitude since he may have a reason for doing all of this (after all, I'm pretty sure Daato and Juda influenced their kids into being kind towards people). Since the kid was introduced by Tonari (the previous head of the Siegfried, and whom didn't like Daato as Juda's partner) shaia make think there's something fishy about it?. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

So, the aunt who acted nice to Jinyao is actually a two-faced person. I think she actually used Yiyi's sperms to scientifically have a baby!
(Remember Jinyao switched his sperm with and saved yiyi's sperm samples but it got stolen so apparently the aunt's duty actions was the one responsible for stealing yiyi's sperm.)

I came back to see if there were any update on this since the status still says 'ongoing' and thought there'll be a second season already because there were too many unanswered questions, like, will she be able to get revenge on her family and ex?, whose Anna and what accident?, will the stepmother become an unwanted issue for the couple?. Like, sooo many questions. So was this dropped?

Well, it surely wasn't a fantastic gem, but i didn't see it as lame either?, after all it got my attention to read it all the way to the last available chapter xD it was entertaining but yeah it went downhill afterwards with how the plot got. Still.. soooo many unwanted question went unanswered that until this day i wondered the same thing whether or not the author just dropped it and discontinued this stupid yet entertaining work. lol

In chapter 140 they finally kiss!! (Even if Rourou interrupts them), still counts as a kiss ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ but sadly after, pictures of their date together with Rourou at the park gets leaked.

so after 2 years (or 1 year - i forgot) ines lived with cesar. ines still has a weak body. especially during winter.
briefly explained that ML often came to visit them several times and drank tea with FL normally.
The side story starts with the scene where they are drinking tea together. at that time ML came to pick up Cesar because of FL's request that he teach his son swordsmanship for a few months
ML misses FL so much, but he think it's enough and feel grateful to be able to visit her every now and then. he said that his energy was fully recharged after seeing her face. there are parts where he really wants to hug FL but is afraid to scare FL.
finally he returned home with cesar. FL with a heavy heart have to let Cesar go. before they leave ML gives her scarf to FL so she doesn't get sick from cold. (This scene warm my heart. if you want the mtl part of this, just ask me)
and sure enough, FL fell ill and was unconscious for a week. why she's so weak because she keeps helping people heal with her powers even though she's herself already weak enough. ines is such an angel ugh
when she woke up weak, he looked for cesar and think about ML. finally she went to eleanor (I think she did teleport, but idk)
then she met ML in the library, and ML took care of FL who was sick. I will attach my full MTL of this reunited scene below this section,
and yeah, its ended when cesar shock to saw his mom in his father bed. cute.
