I always read almost every work of every author I find. Many authors give different personalities to the characters from their different works. And you can't really judge any author from a single work.
I kinda hoped it would get better at some point in their works (I haven't read them all, I ended up dropping them) but the pattern is literally there every single time. If you'd read them you'd know ╮(￣▽￣)╭
