i actually like the prequel a lot even if it feels like it's dragging a bit, maybe it's because I really like the 2nd couple especially geumsun. but connecting the dots is also so fun (like the prophesy w the arrow, yama realizing that it doesnt refer to only one person, yoonwi promising to protect his brother in the next life which he does, the scar on 704s face etc). it adds another intricate layer to the already good world building of this series, I find it really enjoyable.
