I don't wanna see or hear anymore abt rapes in webtoons/mangas. Its almost 2025 and people still support trash partner who rapes and bullies their s/o and afterwards they end up happily ever after. I don't want that happening to me and I dont want that happening to someone else(even if it's in fiction). I can understand if it has something to do with the plot but does each and every story has to have the same plot of dubcon/noncon/rape to attract viewers?
Why is nobody talking about this? I find it weird that people love reading stories about rape and dubcon, even if they went through the same thing and are "coping" with it by reading it, it is still glorifying rape and dubcon, as well as them just being rude to their partner? Very odd people who create and read that. Hope those tropes fall out of place and become less popular.
What do you don't like abt webtoons in general(like the tropes and such).
Bl reader here
The whole concept of BL top and BL bottom. Like yeah they're both man but the bottom is a feminized 14y/o looking boy who moans and whines at every touch
Also the fact that they always get hit off by men ONLY and tops get hit off by woman
like idk it's so annoying I'm trying to read gay stuff but it's so heteronormative
Amnesia tropes are just a pain to read
I personally have an issue with the concept of breaking smth in an unfixeable way so anything that involves someone losing a limb, or simply permanently ruin an aspect of someone's life is out for me
I hate doormat mc like I understand that it’s probably hard to get out of toxic relationship once you’re in it for years but like you know damn well you’re being taken advantage of and do nothing about it like broooo
Another one is from bl like when the mc say something along those line of I definitely don’t like him cause I dated a girl before like bro you’ve f*cked a man and like you can be bisexual it’s not like you can only like one gender
Genuinely why are authors (especially BL authors) so obsessed with awkward situations and embarrassing situations? WHY? WHY? Like bro, I can practically read anything in BL, I almost never have any complaints but the amount of times I just had to put down my phone and go take a walk because of the embarrassing situations istg. Like the story is fine, PLEASE FIND SOEMTHING ELSE FOR THE PLOT INSTEAD OF EUGHHHH. Also HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT EVERYTIME, I’m talking EVERY SINGLE TIME, in any BL, whenever 1 character tries to give the other one a gift, IT NEVER ENDS WELL, IT NEVER DOES. WHYY
And I agree with all of your opinion(sad but true).
Why do authors keep copy pasting the plot? And people read those shits like "wow new webtoon from my fav author" or "wow what a hot sexy porny cover, bet it's good" so on and so forth. I can read the summary and guess what kind of story I will be getting. But sometimes I just gotta get my hopes up(in vain) thinking that maybe the story wouldnt have shitty slutty seme, weak virgin uke, repeated plot point, bully to lover, rape to lover, dub con/non con, debt, blackmail, unnecessary second couple, unnecessary 2nd lead(either will be a worst guy than the seme whom the uke won't choose or a better guy than the seme whom the uke definitely won't choose, straight-turned-gay-for-one-guy seme, straight-turned-gay-being-bottom-on-the-first-try-without-considering-otherwise uke, and much more.. it's giving me a headache... there's like a bunch of manhwas/mangas out there that i really want to read but i just can't because it has the love triangle trope. i just can't stand MC going back and forth on someone, it defeats my idea of romance. i also can't stand plots with concubinage in them, especially when the ML is like the emperor and he has to have multiple partners and has to f*** them to produce heirs despite being in love with the MC (this often happens on straight manhwas tho) but yeah i guess i just want to see loyalty in a manhwa because i barely see any of it irl.
It’s the typical damsel in distress trope. I think it’s because of gender norm bullshit. you usually see in old straight romance where woman needs protection and the man is the savior. This implies to bl where most uke got generalize to be more feminine. In other words it’s just old fashioned straight romance pretending to be bl.
This is like the perfect story and I like that it has more than 50 chapters.
