Finished reading this in a day so everything's kinda fresh altogether. These are my views and opinions (no one's forced to swallow this) but I'm just gonna point out some stuff I observed
First off, the premise was kinda shit. No one explained how they arrived, like okay aliens but how--? It even sounds like a comedy like why tf would you care about another planet's environment if you're not from there. It's like me killing my neighbor's dog because he keeps shitting on their carpet. It sounds pretty wack.
Then there's the girlfriend who's tbh kinda annoying with how she's constantly a damsel in distress, with little to no plot contribution. If you take her out of the manga, it stays the same. The dead mother had more impact on the mc than her.
Kana was definitely annoying and deserved to die. Imagine going out at night, knowing you could sense nearby both killers/human eatees and the one massive dick you wanna suck, but you would have to gamble between who you'd actually see on the spot: why the fuck would you even go after it?? I was so relieved she was killed (I thought they were gonna revive her but thank god they didn't).
His dad just kinda vanished around vol. 7(?) Did he die?
That Reiko T girl was the only decent character. She said something like both the parasites and humans came from one origin but that line was quickly overshadowed by the thing with Gotoh. Like gurl wym by that??? There's no explanation whatsoever, even the scientists weren't able to decode much about the alien other than the cell activities so why did she say that? Was that her last appeal to emotions so that mc would allow the other parasite restaurants to thrive because, like humans, they were just "trying to survive"?
The serial killer dude was just ????? okay you're a chuuni, and you kill people a lot, but does that give you superhuman senses to recognize aliens?
Why does killing Gotoh end this shitassery clown show? Migi was done with the parasite life after merging with and killing Gotoh? That's it?
It was enjoyable at first, but the last 3 volumes were bland as white rice and I would've cried out of sheer disappointment if I had to buy that with my hard-earned pocket money.
3/5 stars for me. Binge reading was a great decision bc I don't wanna invest any more than 24 hours for this story. Glad I got through this and finally sated my curiosity after n years.
It feels kinda eerie watching a wholesome family while knowing that the premise of the story is that 3/5 members were murdered and that Lippe was supposed to be looking for the murderer to avoid the death flags.
