Cause they probably don’t care about the actual plot. I feel like because the author last story had a similar douche like love interest, maybe their impression got carried onto this story. I also understand your frustration because seeing the same comments complaining about the same things can be so annoying. I think it's mainly because they're following the author's line and updates, I mean, it's true that I haven't seen many theories based on Jaekyung's past but it's not that people aren't speculating either; they'll probably start questioning as soon as the author gives a hints of it, it's difficult to start investigating when we know absolutely nothing about the character, and with 30 chapters we're barely warming up considering that the author commented that there's a long way to go
