I deadass thought this was a mislabled het manhwa up until Seokju showed her breasts lmfao. Kept on reading just to see if I was right or wrong. (I was wrong but still got treated to sexy naked Naeun, nice) Another thing was that when the sex finally happened the high heels fetish kinda got forgotten after the initial lick. I get it tho, oneshots can only have so many pages.

I mean those types of slippers are soft lol, running away like that seems like an exaggeration. If the mom was holding onto a remote or something harder, her reaction would be more believable.

??? You know what, I’ll give you the benefit of doubt. Maybe you’re not aware, but the usual for asian parents, when hitting, to use whatever’s closest to them or readily available. For me, she probably gets hit by other things. Alsoo! The pain that you receive doesn’t always equal to the trauma that you get. Like, pain doesn’t always result in trauma, and the lack of it doesn’t always mean there won’t be any resulting trauma. The mom obviously leans more towards mental and emotional abuse with how controlling she is. The physical abuse is more of a tool for her. MC was already characterized as someone easily affected/sensitive and the like. Whether or not it’s a result of her mother’s treatment or not is still gonna be revealed, though I’m assuming she’s always sort of been this way since there hasn’t been any comments like “Oh she used to be so outspoken, what happened?”.
Additional thing to note, MC was literally pulled by her HAIR to the GROUND. She couldn’t actually see the slipper, so who knows what the mom likes to use other times. And, you know, inside slippers (in japan specifically) have firm soles. May not be heavy, but they STING. Seems funny to you, but the marks stay on your skin, even if you’re hit through clothes.
So yeah just some context.

Thanks for the context and i’ll just state before hand that i took all of these things into consideration before you stated this, but i also realize that is faulty on my part because i made opinions based off how i have dealt with my own trauma.
I grew up in an asian and african household so i have definitely been beaten with just about everything in my house including pots and once even a brick, i got pulled by my hair almost constantly and it hurt even worse as my hair is very densely curly so they always had a very strong grip, i’ve also had my fair share of emotional abuse and neglect. All of those things were done to me by both my mother and father in different situations. Ofc there’s more but i’m not going to dive into that, obviously i made my own assumptions about the character, and you’ve definitely made some about me and how i was raised. All i intended to show by my earlier comment was that it just felt too unnatural.
My trauma response was usually reacting back coldly to my abuse as it was the only thing that made it less since crying only made it worse. Obviously i’ve cried but i’ve never just layed down and taken a beating, i understand that blocking or dodging hits also lead to worse beatings but the reason this scene feels so unnatural is because she’s laying on the ground after being beaten by her seemingly skinny looking mother with a slipper, which honestly from a visual prospective just doesn’t make any sense to me.
Again this is rlly me just basing everything off my own experiences, but i don’t think the scene was portrayed well. Ofc you can have a different opinion but again, don’t assume things about me as i won’t assume you’ve ever really been beaten as well.

"Maybe you're not aware"
Lmao I'm Asian, and received a lot of that "strict Asian discipline" as a kid. Why do you think I find "getting hit by soft slippers" funny? Coz I've been hit with a lot worse things. Countless plastic, bamboo and metal objects over the years. Oh and ofc hands, fists and kicks, obviously. My worse injury (imo anyway) was when my mom hit me in the face with a metal spatula, she hit me between the eyes and I lost my eyesight for a few minutes. YOU don't know what abuse feels like I'm guessing if you didn't catch that the ones that treat corporal punishment like it's nothing are people that experienced it. Good for you, I guess. What you did was like mansplaining but for child/physical abuse, and I find that funny.
TL;DR You tried to explain what physical abuse was to someone who has experienced it. And to that I react by saying LMFAO. Honestly, I think it's funny.
Just a heads up, many of those that grew up with corporal punishment will not understand that being hit is NOT normal. It took me seeing my uncles wrangle my oldest sister away from me when she tried to beat me up in front of them to "discipline" me and me thinking "what are they doing? Acting out a soap opera??" to realize that there was actually something wrong with my upbringing. At least, I realized that me laughing at my saviors coz they looked goofy to me was DEFINITELY the wrong reaction to have.

...Is the font size. It's really asking someone with chinky eyes (me) to squint more lmao. But again, this manga is the shxt. I love the *checks notes heteronormative (sorry, it's a big word for me) angst throughout the story. I like depressing sad yuri vibes, coz that's what happened to all of my crushes and I'm a masochist that likes reliving my emotional pain I guess.

Despite the censorship I still like baihe a lot. Some of the text was hard to read tho. Please don't put color font on color background, at least add a black border on the font. About the CP, welp they're both cute and funny, what can I say. I fear this is gonna drag on for a long time tho, I can feel it from the pacing... I'm just hoping it doesn't get abandoned. Baihe stories tend to be such blueballers.

I said that either Iseul won't mind, or she will and there will be a fight. It's like most of you didn't read the speech bubbles and just looked at the pretty pictures lol. Iseul sleeps around a lot and is a total heartbreaker, it was established from the first chapter with that bathroom encounter. My prediction that her fear was less her being actually afraid and more "oh shxt my pure Sori caught me with someone else, what do I do?" was spot on.
And following the tropes, I'm guessing Iseul's first love is gonna show up pretty soon. Also lemme make another guess: Kang Sori is gonna help with advertising Iseul's bar... By "whoring" herself. (Not literally)
I mean she's annoying me too but being an overprotected princess was literally her whole life, so I can cut her some slack. People's personalities don't change within a couple of chapters, if it did the series would be over so much faster lmao
Fr, people needa expect princesses to be super sheltered and nooot aware of their rude ass actions
