Maybe I’m dumb because I don’t understand this speech- like I get that they used propaganda to like control or smth, I don’t get how them being of completely different dna would help their case at all. Either I’m dumb or this story doesn’t add up

It kinda helps the case since it makes the humans feel superior, and that radiation from the outside would turn you to a beast, even thought they are completely different. It shows like a superior and "dumb animal race" (i kinda forget how it works sometimes, so this might be bull or true or in between)

I also didnt really get that but the way I understood it, it's about reproduction? Like a fear that arkians' "perfect genes" are destroyed by breeding with outsiders - since they are confirmed to be a different species and reproduction between them would be impossible this fear is completely unfounded. This would also fit thematically with Helm being "naturally conceived" and thus having inferior genes to other arkians.

It's cause they used "radiation turns you into an Outsider" and their fear of Arkians potentially tainting their "superior" genes by breeding with Outsiders as excuses. They were using it to fear monger and keep Arkians inside basically, but by revealing that they are animals affected by radiation and therefore Arkians cannot reproduce with them it eliminates one of their main reasons to fear and hate Outsiders.
It also revealed that there are no humans outside of the Ark and haven't been for centuries.
I’ve never really seen a manhwa this good at explaining why people hurt people they really care about better than this one. Usually even the best stories end up having a black and white side to them, this character is the victim, the other is the one who hurts them. But in this case, it is two young people who are extremely vulnerable and lack the maturity to not hurt each other. It’s just so understandable, which shows a genuine care by the author for both characters. This is one of my favorite manhwas in how it handles characters and relationships.
