I noticed this a few times in different mangas already but I still can't understand why some people keep things from their (sex) partners. Especially in a life or death situation. What was the goal of keeping "my colleague wants to kill you" a secret? Not ruining the moment? I don't get it.
I mean, why wouldn't they? They're fuck buddies, not lovers, and you can keep stuff from your lover too. Makes sense for uke to keep it from the incubus cuz a) He's a fucking demon using him for sex for sustenance and the uke doesn't know how sincere his feelings or if he's just using him and b) His coworker broke a pretty major demon rule apparently so it'd make sense for the uke to try to cover for him.
Honestly I kind of understood his thought proccess of "it's not like I'm gonna do anything about it"... Yagi offered for *them* to do something about it, but it was more in a "i'll leave it to you" kind of way. Yusa needed the incubus' name in order to exorcise him, but he is still the only one who can; as a fellow demon I don't think Yagi can do that, and he's also accepted he's not as strong as the (other) incubus to just kill him with brute force. Yusa probably didn't think "his colleague wanted to kill the incubus" because of that -- Yagi kind of threw it at him and said "do with that what you will".
Also Yusa was pretty much out of it when he remembered that happened so I don't blame him that much lmao
Maybe because it's a pretty big, end-of-the-world type thing to keep from the incubus?? This is not like "hey i was offered a promotion at work, might have to move house..." this is "hey some other dude suggested I kill you and gave me a step by step guide on how to do it," so the idea that "well it's not like you have to share everything with your lover, so why should he bring it up?" is pretty wild to throw out there. By all means, Yusa can cover for his coworker if he wants to protect him, but in my opinion, he can't really be surprised when the incubus gets angry upon finding out said coworker gave him this information and he just let it marinate. The incubus even gave him time to come clean about it, but Yusa deliberately chose not to do that.
Honestly I see this accident as a win. If this goes the short route, Leo will be mildly injured and the shock will be big enough for JJ to realize he doesn't want to lose Leo. If this goes the long route ... honestly idk bc I don't want to read 20 chapters of them separating when we haven't even gotten any chapters of them really being together.
Anyways I'm just happy that the accident wasn't Leo's fault :>
(Also I saw some people speculating about amnesia and while I don't really see it happening here, it wouldn't be a big problem if it did happen. Imo there are two ways that JJ could react: 1. see it as the perfect opportunity to vanish out of Leo's life or 2. think about all their happy memories that Leo will forget and then remembering why he loves him and that Leo loved him too. I wouldn't mind either tbh.)
Flashback looks like the older brother regularly stole black hair's boyfriends, which would give him enough reason to be mad. If that turns out to be the case, I'll have a bone to pick with both the seme and the uke then. Cause for seme: why aren't you telling uke about your asshole brother? ("he won't ever believe me" my ass) and for uke: you have loved the seme for a year now and have seen that he is an upstanding member of society...but decide to believe his brother who you have seen two times and who takes you out on a date even tho he supposedly knows you're not available??? Nah fam. Also if he was genuinely concerned, he'd ask the uke if seme is treating him well before shitting on his family.
AND INSTEAD OF SEEKING CONVERSATION LIKE HE SAID HE WOULD, UKE IS DECLINING THEIR MEETING AHHHHHH (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
These days it feels like authors can only write/draw problems and not normal domestic scenes. The negativity felt like it's going on forever and Yeon-Oh kept rejecting him just to say "Tell me you like me again and then everything's fine" without us getting at least a lil bit of inner monologue. Even some shorts thoughts along the lines of "Maybe he really means it" and "Ok I'll give him one last chance" would have been good but go give us nothing I guess. I really hope there are at least some domestic chapters in the form of side stories or something. And if there are, then I don't get why they weren't included in the main story to begin with.
I feel like the author has hit a wall or something because this is going downhill fast. Usually people have reasons for their actions and are very willing to share them. But that warning from Kael was bullshit. Like the author wanted to write ✍
For some reason, my comment got cut. Continuation:
"Kael mysteriously warns Maythan about his brother but mc gets fooled anyways. In a dire situation Kael appears to magically save mc." Especially with how in love Kael was acting in the last chapters, he'd give an excuse as to why he can't tell (royal family confidentiality or smth idk) instead of just dismissively saying he can't tell. It's just so out of character.
Also, Shaw's whole character is bad. Apart from her purpose as an annoyance, does she actually have any goals? She was supposed to love the game, so shouldn't she be excited to see/interact with the characters? Instead she goes bother her brother? The only one that doesn't belong in the game? Since when was she a bro-con?
Honestly i get your frustration but... she'd be annoying either way to readers since they would be on her ass whenever she'd get close to the male leads, and then they'd call her a pick-me instead of a fan. What I'm implying is.. bitches will be bitching about every single thing regardless, just like you! it doesn't matter if death made her closer to her brother, and fixing the story is the only way out I don't understand how you missed that.
I agree with where you are coming from in terms of his sister. However, I think you are looking at her as someone who only exists within the game opposed to having a life outside of it. I think if I was transported into a game, and suddenly found out my sibling was in the game with me (no matter if we got along or not), I would probably try to cling to them as well. Because that is the only REAL familiarity within that world, and to interact with the characters could ultimately mean nothing. I think characters can be multifaceted instead of having one defining characteristics that drives their behaviors
Yeah I'd get that if they were both transported into the world by accident. But iirc, she intentionally went after him and I don't think her reason was that she suddenly realized how dearly she loves her brother and wants him back ( ̄∇ ̄")
Nah, i just binged on this so i remember this kinda well. She figures out she'd fatally injured her brother after the stomp from hell and, in a panic, she reaches over to get her phone to call emergency services. But she ends up tripping over his body or something and she bonks her head against something and gets transmigrated as well. So no, she actually had no idea any of this would happen, and for the longest time, she didn't even have plans to go back to her OG life coz she wanted to somehow interact with the other characters. But the body she transmigrated into is not that of an Academy student, so aside from the mc (who's her brother and they'd be able to make plans to meet up), none of the main male leads will be accessible to her (cedric's the brother of the body she's in, so the guilt and the weirdness of it all will definitely not allow her to want to hang around him much at all)
Ohhhhh alright, thanks for the recap. I must've mixed it up with another isekai then. ( ̄∇ ̄")
Guess the sister is not that bad then, just a tad bit annoying.
