I suspect that he is a regressor... And they survived together for a long time before Oh Hyung died and sunbae lost it. My theory about the scare on his Neck is that he killed himself to reunite with Him. Wether he knew he will regress or not...

I don't think he has anything to do with the virus, on the contrary. I feel like Sunbae is more desperate than he shows and Hyung is probably his last sanity safety net.
My other theory is that every scare is a die and repeat and sunbae is stuck on a loop. That would explain why his personality change so much from before the zombie attack. Again Oh Hyung is definitely his sanity safety net, hence why he is so determined to keep him alive this time.
