I think Hachi is the most to blame for her situation. She had a choice between a loving and devoted man in Nobu, but once Takumi said he'd take care of her baby no matter what she thought "Oh hell yeah, time to be a trophy wife!!" I can't say much though, since if I had been in that situation at age 20 I probably would have done the same thing. Only difference is that I would have kept Nobu on as a side piece. She could have been happy AND a trophy wife to a philandering asshole that had side pieces all over the world.

I completely agree, I was just saying what I would have done at that age. Nobu and Yasu deserve nothing but the best. It makes me happy to see that Yasu and Miu end up together, but it seems like Nobu still hasn't given up on Hachi, and that makes me really sad.

To be fair, hachi did make an adult choice. She chose Takumi because he was stable enough to raise a child without having to worry about money. With Nobu, although she loved him, they wouldn't have been able to raise a child, and with Nobu being in blast. They both weren't financially stable. Hachi made a sacrifice, and she did what she did. But I do agree that hachi wouldn't have been in this situation with takumi had she communicated better.

In my opinion Hachi chose Takumi (not only because she was torn between him and Nobu) but because he could help raise the child and for them to be secure/safe, and because she couldn't push that burden on Nobu who barely had a job and had his dream of making his band work. That was why he cherished her and was careful with the condoms while Takumi wasn't. If you ask me about Takumi, it was his ego that made him propose to Hachi so he could win over Nobu and low-key take responsibility in case the child was his. And also there was a scene where Baldy told Shin to think carefully about why Nana (Hachi) chose Takumi over him. And that was the scene where Nobu found out about the conditions of his new girlfriend Asami problems being an AV actress.
