Tbh, I’m usually completely unfazed by rape scenes such as the one in ch. 44, (and even worse scenes than that) but the contrast here with the main couple actually being cute, sweet and consensual, creates a certain contrast when you see the toxic nature of Geumsun and 704’s relationship that makes me much prefer the main ship. I usually wouldn’t mind following the kind of relationship Geumsun and 704 has, but specifically for this story it bothers me a bit to see the dynamic between them. I much dislike the feeling of superiority Geumsun displayed in the recent chapter, cuz even tho 704 was a heinous criminal in the past, it doesn’t mean he’s lost any of his worth as a being. Their relationship is simply toxic especially compared to the main, and although I’m cool with it cuz I’ll keep reading anyway, I just really hope to see some character development from Geumsun, cuz 704 is a much more likeable character for me at this point.
