I read this cause I couldn't get enough of "Death Delayed for a Short Time Because of the Will" which iirc is an adaptation to an already existing novel. with a suicidal "non-offensive" MC and an OP "offensive" side character I wouldn't be surprised if this was a rip-off of the original. It's good regardless.
IMO the plot and characters are really good, but the romance really sucked to me. There's no particular reason why Yiyeon falls in love with him, and it's kind of hard to believe he did...? amidst the whole situation. I expected a lot more push and pull to get into his heart but he just got a crush on the guy who was sorta blackmailing him. Additionally, there weren't many moments where Hyeon seemed to be falling in love either, just him being possessive over his things.
Maybe I just read this wrong but it sorta left a weird taste about their relationship. It really doesn't seem like he's over his friends until he realizes his new friends, which really made it feel like Hyeon/Yiyeon relationship was weaker than his friendships. The romance just ends up feeling contrived off of Hyeon's possessiveness and Yiyeon needing a reason to be alive.
Still a good read though. Love this kind of dungeon shit.

I feel like the relationship dynamic changed so much from the first volume. tokiwa was kinda pushy and a little abrasive but now he's kinda passive and broody, while yuzurihara went from tsundere to kinda pathetic and insecure idk
True tokiwa is not thaaat passive as the reason he was aggressive in the 1st volume was because of his insecurity over Tanabe
