the amount of love i harbour for these two characters you wouldn't BELIEVE. everything - from the characters to the smut scenes - everything in this manhwa is so good. i especially love that taehyuk and hyo un have very consistent personalities and the logic of their actions is always palpable.
also, im usually not one for the drama, but i feel like the drama here also flows consistently without it getting and being too much.

i also just ADORE both taehyuk and hyo un. love their dynamic, love their relationship. i know some people find it very weird, given how taehyuk was almost like a parental figure to hyo un. but as (supposedly, since i don't know korean and have been using google to translate the raws) hyo un had said in ch.63, he sees taehyuk more like a "loved one" than anything else with a label. given how hyo jn isn't human (and realised that pretty early on), i don't think he ever saw taehyuk like a "parent". taehyuk, on the other hand, is a much more... complicated story, because he maybe saw hyo un as an adopted son, and that's also why it took him such a long time to get used to hyo un's advances and even like. idk. tbh ive never had a dad and never been one either and im not sure what that dynamic is supposed to be like, but all this hyo un and taehyuk had going on just felt... sweet? i know, a controversial take, but i just can't really pinpoint why it doesn't give me that icky feeling of like basically anything else that has to do with incest. maybe because it's hyo un who's making advances on taehyuk? maybe because hyo un isn't human? or because he is so madly in love that i don't think there even was anyone else on earth so perfect for him besides taehyuk? idk man. i dont wanna continue thinking about how icky it must've been for taehyuk. eugh. love them still but... a bit of eugh. love them though. ESPECIALLY bc the modern them no longer have that weird familial relationship YAHOOO... wow does it really take so little to bring me joy

i think the kid is actually really interesting, he clearly is not ur average kid and seems like someone who realised early on that he only has himself to depend on and is very determined to survive. i think he probably, to some degree, has a condition similar to sociopathy and struggles to feel empathy maybe as a result of his upbringing. v interesting contrast in the effects of trauma for luce and the prince, luce was probably able to keep his kind nature due to the friends and family he was able to love and depend on whereas i’m guessing in the castle the prince only had himself… that turned into a word vomit lmao sorry

tbh this chapter just seems painful and shitty, not sexy at all. richard fucked up big time. dont understand why they had to put rape in here at all. you could show richards loss of control and disobedience in other ways, whyd you have to settle on such a painful one?
