Probably because there are so many yaoi mangas that start with rape that sometimes we just choose to skip that part.
Altho this one is different. Most of the yaois with rape at least had good looking MLs. This one isn't even handsome. I'm still reading because I'm trying to figure out how he could be the ML and if he has any redeeming qualities. So far haven't found one.
