Mr Rose could be a guy caught up in a spell, waiting for his Prince Charming in a castle (pardon, hotel) to appear and use the Power of True Love to break it. This is why he trapped the MC and I think this answers why the MC has to find the real Hyung. The only thing that doesn't add up is that like Mr Rose and Hyung seem like 2 different people.
