why are people calling the mc dumb?, genuinely how was he supposed to know + he had been left alone by family already and probably just wanted to believe the words of others for once but he was NOT dumb, he stood up for himself and didnāt runaway from any problems, but again he just didnāt want to believe the ml was a bad guy even though he already knew it
He repeatedly said that he has a bad feeling about the ml, he fell in the most common shit in the book. He was tough at first and then easily gave in, didn't follow his intuition when he already experienced the same shit before, so yeah he is kinda dumb but I'm hoping for a development.

I think raphael is hiding the fact that he knows from everyone, even from rowan but that makes this situation worse cause rowan might put himself in danger trying to keep his cover. also even if raphael is ok with it, other mafia members may not be and feel threatened that rowan is gonna try to arrest them
