is the blackmail really worth all of the abuse and a future full of suffering? I would rather let the blackmail get out and just deal with it once. what the hell is the mc doing? am I being insensitive?

I wonder if he and henry were really lovers, it doesnt explicitly say they were. maybe the doctor was delusional for a long time about what he and henry could be, and henry broke his delusion filled dreams, hence where the resentment plays a role?
