So sweet! I'm really happy to see them tackle the idea that guys can like cute and traditionally "girly" things too!
Guess if anything it's an insight into cultural gender norms. Are crafts really considered "girly" in S.Asian countries? Ditto with all the comics that make out men don't like sweets, cakes and desserts and doing so must be "feminine". Which I don't think is an opinion shared in most other countries.
I'm from North America, and I can speak from experience that most people here think its feminine for guys to like cute stuff, baking sweets, and even painting/drawing.
That's quite depressing. It seems really odd to fix a gender to things like cakes, biscuits, sweets etc! In the UK anyway, one of the biggest baking competition programmes has had many male contestants and winners, ditto with all the painting, pottery and sewing competitions that are on TV. (Just mentioning those as an example as presumably they can be accessed internationally online).
