The vulnerability and comfort she had with Kouya is everything a relationship needs to have, but him losing to his inferiority broke my heart along with hers! And he just wants to pick right back up? Damn dude, I’m glad you’re a better person, but what about Asahi? She’s just supposed to naturally know to wait for you? She’s gone though enough and deserves to be happy ASAP.
Tatsuo sees her and values her as she is, but man, his emotional availability sucks! If he can just figure out how to properly express what he’s feeling, to give her the emotional and physical pampering she deserves, he’d be damn near perfect for her!

It took a minute for me to get into this story, but I am so. So. SO glad that I pushed through the beginning and got to experience this masterpiece! Ugh, it hurt in all the right places, and had me hooked until the end (hence the binge reading). ╥﹏╥

Ugh, well this triggers memories. My druggie dad played the abandonment card extremely well. Well enough for me and my family to try and support him for 7+ years. All that brought was heartache, trauma, and regret for sacrificing everything for someone who wasn’t willing to do the same in return.
Others will help and stay by your side, but only if you’re willing to face yourself head-on and CHANGE, because no one else can do it for you. Dragging someone down to hell with you because you’d rather do that than confront your inner demons is cruel and in no way should be expected of the other person. We want to live too.
