I feel bad for Ilyan, this kind of pain hurts a lot and I can’t even imagine how he is feeling after seeing that the love he’s craved from his father for so long be given to someone else almost like he never deserved itit crushes me and it really makes me want to cry for him, at least he has Kyle to help him through this
I recently came across a YA book synopsis that seemed undeniably similar to the manga Seven Days by Tachibana Venio and Takarai Rihito. The book is called Date me, Bryson Keller and part of the synopsis goes as followed: "Everyone knows about the dare: Each week, Bryson Keller must date someone new--the first person to ask him out on Monday morning. Few think Bryson can do it. He may be the king of Fairvale Academy, but he's never dated before. Until a boy asks him out, and everything changes.
Kai Sheridan didn't expect Bryson to say yes. So when Bryson agrees to secretly go out with him, Kai is thrown for a loop. But as the days go by, he discovers there's more to Bryson beneath the surface, and dating him begins to feel less than an act and more like the real thing"
What are y'alls thoughts on this? Has anyone actually read the book? I just wanted to get some insight on other people's opinion considering that Seven Days is so dear to me and I wanted to know if I was overeacting in thinking of it as a rip off? I even feel bad calling it a ripoff given that I haven't even read the book. I just feel so conflicted, but I'm willing to give the author the benefit of the doubt and give this book a shot.
Guys, pls don’t be discouraged to read this story! There is no rape or scum bag seme so I don’t know why the tags say so. It’s a really simple, and fluffy story! A really cute and light read
What are you talking about?
A person cannot give consens if they are drunk because it clouds judgement. The MC even passed out and after the rape was done, the MC was pissed off by the actions of the ML.
That is not fluff
What are you even talking about? If you actually finished and read the story you would know that they don’t have sex until the last chapter. And it is a fluffy story because the seme clearly shows his love by taking things slow and bringing him on dates plus gives him flowers. No one is denying that a drunk person can’t give consent so don’t even start with that shit.
It was non-con but the seme didnt even know that. Drunk people have sex all the time. It was only a problem in this story because the uke changed his mind as he began to sober up and the seme didmt realize. And he wasn't pissed off, he was confused. Confused on his feelings and why the seme did that which he eventually cleared up
