I CANNOT belive that some of you are still trying to place all the blame on Sasya. It's been shown many times Saysa was in a horrible mental state, and he was unable to be in a healthy relationship with Karel because of his past trauma. The people who are blaming Sasya for "treating Karel like shit" are the same people who only read this manhwa for gay sex and completely skip the plot. It's as if their comprehensive skills have deteriorated because of all the porn they've read
But wasn't it Sasya that was originally trying to get away from Karel in the beginning because of his mental state and situation and it was KAREL that continued to chase him even after knowing his aweful state? And with his "captain-save-a-hoe" mentality and didn't really entertain an type of healthy and meaningful dialogue with Sasya in order to understand each others state of mind?
For real there's a lot that can be said about Karel's inability to speak when necessary and his adept way of staying silent when he should've spoken, being that he, out of the two of them, was the more mentally sound one (though not really). In my point of view Karel is the perfect example of "Love" also being a mental illness so I can't even be mad him really. ಠ‿ಠ
That is very much correct. It seems some people can’t grasp that these are not one-dimensional characters nor is this a one-dimensional story. They BOTH had their part to play in how things turned out and they both, whether consciously or unconsciously, hurt each other. Karel’s obsessive love didn’t actually help Sasya— it’s actually the opposite, in a way it worsened his issues.
Sweetness pick a struggle you mad at Sasya for his mental illness hurting Karel one second (though Karel chose to sacrifice himself without talking it out with Sasya).
Then you defending him the next second, while basically ADMITTING that he does indeed have issues and Karel should've still taken the initiative to get himself involved in the mix (which Karel chose to get involed without talking it out with Sasya).
So who's side do you want to take? Karels side or Sasya's? (Or you can pick the neutral side where the more mature readers are and realize that they both are at fault, both have their issues and both need to do better and just enjoy the plot for what it is = the better suggestion)
(ಠ_ಠ) Mmmm you right
I fucked up the two ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
What I meant is that Karel fucked his own life (by getting too involved into something he wasn't ready for nor could handle) . And though Sasya didn't make it any easier he's not entirely at fault because he too had his own issues and was plagued with misfortune and weak disposition. Basically he didn't mean to. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It’s not excusing Sasya while having zero sympathy for Karel? I think you’re misinterpreting something. I love both of the characters and I admit that both of them have their flaws. If it seems like I (and others who think like me) lean more towards Sasya than Karel it’s because the people I respond to are usually ignorant people who can’t see that neither of them are to blame or rather that if anyone is to blame that it would be both of them. There’s no definite bad guy in this story, just two broken people who tried their best but got swept by circumstances.
Oh sorry I may have read that wrong. Comment section is pretty wild.
But yeah Both are not perfect people, but I just wanted to say everyone expecting Karel to know exactly how to deal with someone who is mentally unwell must not know how hard that actually is. And the pain that it causes is valid.
He literally tried so hard and everyone kept saying he didn't gets proven more wrong every chapter.
This man literally went to hospital for him, jail for him, then war for him....
He and him are nowhere near equal in terms of harm caused
That’s totally valid lmao On my part I start off simply asking for evidence to back up false claims but people can’t even understand that and start throwing around insults. I should probably stop trying to have civil discussions with people who can’t even do simple tasks.
Yeah no, looking at the flashbacks it is clear that he certainly did try to help him it just wasn’t enough unfortunately. Definitely needed more time in the mental hospital to really get to the roots of his problems.
The thing is that the harm wasn’t intentionally caused by Sasya— he didn’t ask Karel to lie and take the blame for murdering someone as the trauma made him completely forget what even happened. He didn’t ask him to go to war either. These are all harms that Karel self-induced and some people in the comment section fail to see that. It’s horrible that he had to go through that but to blame Sasya for the choices he made himself (as we can finally see that was the case in the recent flashbacks) is just as ignorant as claiming Karel didn’t try to help at all.
I also wouldn’t say that the harm caused isn’t close to equal terms when Karel falsely imprisoned Sasya (sure they both ended up falling in love with each other but that’s still morally wrong regardless), controlled him to an extent and turned a blind eye for a long time to things that were clearly worrisome about Sasya, which he didn’t realize made Sasya even more mentally unstable than he already was. Sasya literally attempted suicide twice while living with him, that right there is enough to see that he needed professional help long ago, not just love and a home.
The bruises are actually crazy
