People (especially parents) SERIOUSLY need to be CAREFUL about stuff regarding the upbringing of children... ENCOURAGEMENT is one thing but it’s very different from PRESSURE. I have seen too many of my friends being crushed by the burden of what is called “talent”. I’m not saying ALL of them do, but A LOT of parents force their dreams onto their kids and excuse themselves by saying shit like, “I just want what’s best for you” without realising or simply disregarding the child’s wishes/dreams. I know this for a fact because a dear friend of mine committed su*c*de after caving under the immense pressure he received from his parents and peers. I really regret not noticing the warning signs. His parents had the nerve to claimed they “didn’t” pressure him at his funeral. Shameless.
