This is probably one among many which does not show that the kids reconciled with the parents. And the reality is that, you don't always can. Adults, especially aged ones, are so hard to come to terms with the fact that they did wrong. They almost don't want to admit it and that in return makes it hard for us to accept them back.
I personally hate the 'because they've raised you, you gotta show some appreciation' idea because that just shows what a trash they are. So, I can't hate them if they clearly show favoritism before my eyes? That's no love, parents, even dogs, care for theri children without having to be taught. It's natural, you're supposed to raise them. But the lack of love is what hits home, the lack of properly loving your child whether he scored awful at school or looks ugly.

First we just need for a at least romantic moment to happen bc woah they just agreed w eachother that’s a step foward right?
