He's clearly still in denial. I don't think Jaeshin is fully accepting his feelings yet. He's more in the phase of showing his love through actions instead of words. But it's about time :))

I think the condition was to win a human heart. I don't recall any mention of reciprocity. Jaeshin is not expected to love the human back for him to come back to the underworld. Technically his mission is complete and he could return but the fact he intervened in Nok's death made things more complicated for him. All he cares about now is to be next to Nok. He's so obsessed by Nok he doesn't even think about what's next for him or for them
Jaeshin is still new to the concept of love especially towards others, he’s more familiar with being desired, which is why it was easy for him to beg for Nok to say that he wants him. I just genuinely think he hasn’t put two and two together, like he isn’t aware that what he’s feeling is love. He knows he cares for Nok deeply but labeling it as love is where he’s falling short. I could be wrong but I feel like this makes the most sense to me.
