I sat down today to binge-read and as of chapter 49, I'm happy I did :)) This is such great timing since school is starting tomorrow for me LOL and the boys enrolled in their new year at university at the beginning of this story. I love the fluff and that they gradually get to know each other. <33
LiHuan reminds me of my high school crush. My high school crush also gets misunderstood as being a cold person because he doesn't smile often, and he doesn't approach people. He also sounds grumpy at times LOL. But like LiHuan, he had family circumstances that affected him and wasn't motivated to befriend new folks. I didn't have a good first impression of him either LOL and I thought he ignored me. But after clarifying with him, I learned he didn't mean to and he explained himself to me.
Although, I find parts of myself in YuYang or at least his life... When YuYang reflects in chapter 33, "...there is not a single one that likes me back," that's how I feel too LOL. I've received confessions and I'm that person who gets told that I'm popular because I'm friendly or don't run out of friends, but...even when there are folks around, the one you like isn't always the one who looks at you. :/ I thought it was understandable of YuYang to feel content through his school life, and even though he still likes Lin Xiang, he doesn't try to get a boyfriend to move on either.
I related to YuYang's "I'm like that to everyone" in chapter 36, since sometimes, people really could think you have your eyes on them just because you're nice to them. They don't realize that you treat them like how you would treat anyone else. :/ It's hard... Sometimes, these are the people who would like you and then you reject them. I do like YuYang and JiangYu's mature conversation though; even though you get rejected, you could still be friends. :)
I like that this story demonstrates that we really don't need complicated reasons to fall in love with someone.... You could fall in love with how they treat you, like how kind they are. It was very thoughtful of YuYang to lie on JiangYu's behalf that he asked her to take photos of him on her phone, or when YuYang lied to Lin Xiang by saying our protagonist has a boyfriend, just so Lin Xiang won't feel guilty for not loving YuYang back/rejecting YuYang...
I like that YuYang said love is based on emotions and Lin Xiang just seems different from everyone else... I think that's how it is when you fall in love: you could be with so many others, but for some reason, you just like them. I remember having friends wonder why I liked my high school crush too, and I didn't have an answer that they could understand either.
I look forward to reading more (▰˘◡˘▰) I hope YuYang realizes he loves LiHuan soon. I wish for all the YuYangs of the world to find their soulmates <33
Wow! Right when I edit my post, I get welcomed to the fandom! Thank you dear <33 Did you comment as soon as I posted LOL?? That was so fast, I'm still surprised xDD
I read 12 chapters of this story on Wed. Aug. 22 while I was at the airport in my city, and time just flew by... The festival extras were precious too :)) I told myself I had to read this again when I came back from vacation.
Oh yeah. Ever since I heard that the new chap was posted I ZOOMED to read it and then I always check the comments right after
I literally reread this manhua for the seventh time 2 days ago. I just love it so much and it makes me happy to see others enjoying it too! A second or even third read is a must. You catch little things you missed before and appreciate the art more. :^}}
I feel that I may indeed fall deeper and deeper in love with this story... I appreciate how realistic this story feels, and I would not be surprised if DJun based the story on their own experiences or experiences their peers had. Homophobia for example exists. There are people who enter post-secondary who are very involved with campus life and those who aren't. We really don't know who we could meet and make us happier. :)
I'm a post-secondary student myself. I'm not a new student like LiHuan but I am thinking of how this school year could be different. You never know who you could meet, including people who you love being with or being bored of your connections. This story reminds me to live in the moment more :)
I don't blame Anton for his sex dream. I appreciate that even though Anton desires Arwin, our rich boy doesn't force our uke or make that a priority. I like that Anton makes the effort to bond with Arwin, which may sadly be what no other person has done for our uke... :( It's very innocent of Anton for feeling guilty about the dream too :)
Is it too optimistic of me to hope for Heath to be friendly with Arwin? It's clear that Heath doesn't think Arwin is deserving of Anton's attention and favour... Even if Arwin "knows nothing about the value of jewelry" like Heath said, it still doesn't mean Arwin isn't worthy of gifts... :/
The emotions from Alex and Dong-gyun during their fight were so raw, I felt like I was getting hit (Dong-gyun) and frustrated (Jiwon). ╥﹏╥ Was I the only one who felt like this was a breakup even though they never officially dated??
I just felt so hurt in Dong-gyun's shoes when he asked, "Have you ever thought about how I feel?" ┗( T﹏T )┛I know Dong-gyun knew Jiwon didn't want a committed relationship, but it still hurts nonetheless when you KNOW and are heartbroken from being used by the person you love... Dong-gyun confessed to Jiwon too but this wasn't the right atmosphere for that. :/ I don't know if it hurts more that Jiwon couldn't answer Dong-gyun, or if it would have hurt more if Jiwon verbally told Dong-gyun the truth he already knows about... Those flashbacks of the times Dong-gyun and Jiwon spent together came back to hurt Dong-gyun like a boomerang. ╥﹏╥
I see why Jiwon is upset though. Dong-gyun interfering with the BJ Alex broadcast was not part of the deal. Jiwon is probably losing viewers too. I think anyone in Jiwon's shoes would be upset at Dong-gyun. In Jiwon's perspective, they're just sex buddies and he's not obligated to care for Dong-gyun's emotions. (Dong-gyun consents to having sex too.) I hope that Jiwon takes this incident as a chance for him to reflect too...
I think conflicts generally arise from two people's contributions. Although I have sympathy for Dong-gyun, I know it was not right of him to interfere with the BJ Alex broadcast when they're just sex friends. I also see that if Jiwon was kinder, Dong-gyun wouldn't have been as hurt and thus, triggered to interfere with the broadcast. It doesn't take much to be a decent human being, like opening the door for Dong-gyun to leave and telling our uke to have a nice evening. Saying a simple "thank you" doesn't take much effort or time. :/ I hope Jiwon takes his time to reflect on his emotions from his first love too. I think we could all agree that it's not right to look through someone else's belongings without their permission, but that's forgivable in the long-run. I hope Jiwon recognizes that the way he treats Dong-gyun triggered this incident to happen, despite laying out the rules to their relationship in advance. Rules aren't enough in this context.
It's just sad that Dong-gyun and Jiwon weren’t seeing eye-to-eye. :/ Rather than ending the relationship completely, I hope to see them calmly talk with each other. Maybe they just need time away from each other right now.
I'm so triggered by Dong-gyun and Jiwon's situation, I didn't feel my usual excitement to see Chanwoo and Myung-dae LOL. Chanwoo looks cute in that dog leash though, and I see the traces around his wrists. :P Very nice to see Chanwoo comfortably siting on Myung-dae's lap, and Myung-dae even had his hands around Chanwoo's waist. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I feel like my heart will get broken slowly but surely... I can't tell who is who when the twins were having sex with Arwin, but it was sad to see the boy be forced to do a job he can't put his heart into :( The twins weren't even focused on Arwin's feelings and used him as a sex tool >< It's no wonder Arwin doesn't want to go with them....
I think chapter 18 was a time-skip, since Anton has visited Arwin for a while. It's very cute to see Arwin smile wholeheartedly to eat ice cream and cake, and he seemed so at peace while he helped Anton with our rich boy's thesis paper and played the violin.
Seeing Arwin forced into this prostitution life hurts. I hope through the connections Anton makes and when he finally inherits the family business, he's powerful enough to rescue Arwin from the life our uke never chose.
I love Sihoon, but if Junyoung punched him, I would understand LOL. Poor baby cried as he said, "I don't believe you. I don't. You hurt me. Because of you, I now doubt all of my decisions. Because of you, I can't believe in myself." ╥﹏╥ The feels were just there as Junyoung knew in his heart that he did miss Sihoon and their passionate kiss as they cried... Junyoung loves Sihoon, but he finds himself getting hurt. I remember Junyoung crying on the bed in the restaurant by himself after their first breakup... How many more nights did Junyoung spend crying like that after Sihoon left for America? :'( How long did it take Junyoung to accept that Sihoon was gone and distract himself with work? (Again, Junyoung's sex lifestyle needs clarity.)
I got feels when Sihoon acknowledged he made a mistake by leaving the country and said, "I made a huge mistake. Please, just look at me. Junyoung. Please?" I love that Sihoon was begging for forgiveness and it was Junyoung who hugged him first, as they cried in each other's arms. Sihoon allowed Junyoung to accept him back, not force his way through. (▰˘◡˘▰) I think it's normal for anyone to say that if they were in Junyoung's shoes, they would not forgive Sihoon, but... I get the feeling that sometimes, your walls could really fall apart when that person appears. After all, Junyoung and Sihoon's love for each other is still there </3
I want to see how Sihoon and Junyoung work towards a healthy relationshipヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I love Sihoon and Junyoung together because of their passion. I love that when they look at each other, it's as though they are in their own world. They cherish each other and could have lighthearted conversations. I really FELT how at home they are with each other.
However, these last four chapters have felt out of place to me somehow. Our precious dorks got into a messy four-year breakup, which could have been avoided altogether. Sihoon already knew about Junyoung's desire to be financially independent, since our uke never demanded our seme to shower him with money and wanted to leave our doctor's apartment asap during the misunderstanding. So, Junyoung prioritizing his career instead of going to America was no surprise. Also, Sihoon had already reflected on his relationship with Jiseok and realized he did not want to RUN AWAY, which is why Daddy pursued Baby to seek clarity during their first breakup!! ;-------; WHERE DID THIS DRAMA COME FROM? Our babies knew about their communication problems and acknowledged they love each other so much, I just can't explain how they could let their four-year breakup happen like that.
^ I know both parties are stubborn, but this type of stubbornness does not make sense to me regarding their characterization and realizations. We could call Junyoung stubborn for following his heart despite thinking Sihoon was Mari's married lover. Sihoon has asked Junyoung about pursuing his studies instead of working more than once, but Sihoon acknowledged Junyoung's desire to work and that Junyoung likes working at a restaurant. I see that Sihoon could be an understanding person, so it didn't quite feel that it was like him to get upset or expect Junyoung to go to the States.... :/
I read this on the bus about eight hours ago (18 hours after my edit) on unstable Wi-Fi on my ride home from a trip. My original message didn't get posted LOL but I did comment here -> http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/3365982/ and my confusion on whether Junyoung ASSUMED he had sex with that person or if they really slept together... http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/3366145/
I still want to see Daddy naked in an apron. (/TДT)/ JUNYOUNG, HOW MANY MORE UNFULFILLED KINKS DO YOU HAVE???
If the author does post more parts to this story, would anyone kindly translate?ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I felt so nervous when Dong-gyun interrupted Alex's broadcast and even said they're dating! ;-------; What's going to happen to Dong-gyun now?? I can't deny that Jiwon is cold to Dong-gyun, but how is Jiwon going to explain himself to his viewers?
Jiwon gave Dong-gyun wine as thanks (even though Jiwon didn't say it nicely, he still did acknowledge that his success is significantly because of their interactions he later tells his viewers), not for Dong-gyun to interfere with the broadcast and affect Jiwon's career. :/
I know Jiwon was wrong for confusing Dong-gyun through our seme's jealousy and mistreatment, but that's a separate matter that doesn't need to affect Jiwon's career. Dong-gyun loves Jiwon, but love also includes caring for that person's job, not ruin it because of your own feelings to your circumstances... Jiwon did bluntly ask Dong-gyun if our uke is in love with our seme, and Dong-gyun still agreed to have sex with Jiwon, despite knowing Jiwon doesn't want to fall in love and uses Dong-gyun for his broadcasts.
A messy situation that I hope will have a happy solution. If Jiwon decides to break up with Dong-gyun, I hope this could be time for Dong-gyun to have his own space. I feel bad for Dong-gyun since he's a naive person who fell in love with someone who is traumatized from their past... Dong-gyun certainly has the right to be treated with respect and tenderness. I hope Jiwon realizes he loves Dong-gyun and the two could have a healthy relationship! I hope to see Chanwoo comfort Dong-gyun too. <3
I'm away on vacation and I'm reading this before bedtime. I feel excited but a little more exhausted now LOL.
Honey, we all know you still love him Junyoung! Otherwise, you wouldn't have invited him to your house. ;-----; If you really moved on from Sihoon, why would you care what his answer is?? You're just pissed off that he was selfish these last four years, but hey, you still love him! Sihoon ain't leaving that easily once he stepped through your door, or else he just really isn't worth it.
I like Sihoon's honesty this chapter. We always knew he was insecure, like when he dated Jiseok. I think Sihoon's habit of running away when it comes to his feelings needs to be coped with.
My heart fluttered when Sihoon said Junyoung's not pretty anymore but handsome LOL. It reminds me of when Junyoung and Sihoon bathed together and Junyoung wanted to be handsome, but Sihoon said Junyoung was too young. I honestly think it's the cutest thing in the world that Junyoung wore the coat Sihoon bought him, and I don't believe our uke when he said he has a habit of keeping things LOL. Junyoung still loves Sihoon. We all know that stunned look on Junyoung's face when Mari said Sihoon is back in South Korea. :P
Mari, thank you for reuniting your idiotic brother and best friend. They need to argue and have makeup sex asap. That passion when they're together can't be replicated with anyone else. I doubt your brother dated anyone overseas and Junyoung has been focused on work anyway (again, Junyoung's sex lifestyle is questionable).
I think it makes sense for Kyung-soo to be upset with Yule, considering how Yule mistreated the uke. Although, I do think it's sweet of Yule to try. Yule cares but he's clumsy at expressing it. xP
Yule wanted Kyung-soo to eat and stopped buying pizza after Kyung-soo told him off. Yule kept buying taiyaki because he knew Kyung-soo likes it but after being told off again, he tried cooking and wants to improve after Kyung-soo said it tastes gross! I think with more communication, both parties could understand each other better, and they have a chance at a healthy relationship. This is better than no communication. :)
I happily binge-read this story yesterday, but wow, chapter 50 being released today... I had mixed feelings and it bothers me that my intuition didn't fail me. :/
I'm hurt by how realistic chapter 50 was... There are people who simply don't understand that one's sexual orientation is never a choice. Even if YuYang does marry a female, it would be unfair to her because he could never desire her. Heterosexuality being considered a norm is largely a result of colonization. I wish human diversity was celebrated everywhere, not shun upon.
Sometimes, it truly is the people with the most beautiful smiles who have endured so much pain. Seeing how carefree YuYang is at school, people may not predict that he has a homophobic family and being away from them makes him happier. In fact, it’s better for YuYang to be away from his family, or else they’ll destroy him mentally and he’ll never want to see them again. >< So, being away from home seems to be the only way for YuYang and his family to stay on talking terms.
I remember chatting with people who wondered why individuals choose to move out, instead of staying at home and take care of their parents. This story demonstrates one reason why some people would rather be away than stay: they're not accepted at home. Being away is better for YuYang because at least he doesn't have to come home to his dad's disappointed face, and his aunt nagging him to date a female or his uncle wanting YuYang to stay away from his own cousin. :/
I think YuYang's parents still love him, despite their disapproval of his sexual orientation. Even though YuYang's mother called him to come home, YuYang's father probably wanted to see him too since he was waiting on the couch. It is annoying though that being gay is associated with being feminine, like when YuYang's father wondered why he was wearing a choker and an earring .... ._________. I don't know if it's better or worse that YuYang's mother stays quiet and looks disappointed. YuYang's parents gave up on grooming him to be the child they want him to be, but they still can't embrace him for who he is. :/
That flashback of YuYang sitting in his room and crying as he held DongDong... YuYang only had his dog by his side to comfort him :(( We don't see DongDong now, so does that mean DongDong passed away...? It's sad that YuYang's only support was his dog, who’s probably gone now. </3 And it made perfect sense for YuYang to get into fights, because he protected himself from homophobic folks at school. Yet, instead of supporting their son (like LiHuan's parents did to our freshman), YuYang's parents just want less people to know about our protagonist being gay... :/ What a toxic household. No presentation of self-love and pride.
But seeing YuYang walk out during the family meal… Maybe YuYang argued so much with his family that he’s so tired of doing that, and simply, he gave up. It’s sad when you know that nothing you say could have people understand, and that walking away is your only option, even if that only brings you further apart… :( Why even have children if you expect them to be how you want them to be, and can’t accept them when they’ve done nothing wrong?
It's possible that YuYang studied so hard and went to the university he's at now, so he could be away from his family. It would be no surprise if YuYang gets a job away from them too. But overall, it's sad when the people who generally should support you don't, and you can't remove yourself from them completely either…
