Everyone in the comments is calling Derrick an asshole or asking if he is being controlled - the artist seems to depict this using the teal glow in their pupils!
I mean he still sucks lol, but to his credit, this specific situation probably isn't something he willingly participated in.
Anyhow, the visual queue might be useful to know in future chapters for those who didn't pick up on it yet :)

As someone in their late 20s often mistaken for a teenager I found myself relating to Miki a lot. Everyone brushes it aside as “you’ll be thankful you look young when you’re older” but dating is hard when people assume you're a minor and therefor don’t have interest in dating you, OR you have someone interested only to learn they have a history of dating barely legal women and it feels gross :,,)
Also related to her trying to look more mature/taller when going out on dates. Before seeing a pattern in my (gross) ex’s relationships - i didn’t want randoms to judge him / assume he was dating a minor and ended up self conscious about it when we’d go out.
Overall it’s got cute moments and while not perfect - there was a refreshing amount of healthy communication and relationship moments depicted.

First ED story i’ve read and I wasn't very convinced it would start and end with him still having ED, but was a bit disappointed the author didn’t explore more alternative ways they could find pleasure before his ED was resolved but oh well
