Tbh I’m in the mindset they did die at the end but a lot of people don’t believe in that and think they’re alive and all is good. But your sentiments on the story is the same as mine. It really does feel like the author didn’t know how to properly end it? Like I feel like the author wanted it to be unexpected but it ended being confusing and not as clear as what happened to them.
Also I personally I don’t look back at season 2 because I think it’s pretty shit overall. But I still like season one as it was what drew me in fast and kept me heavily interested and I’m not usually into angst stories.
