ik you were trying to be glib about this but I remember that series was an original from the author and it skyrocketed to fame because of the ash&eiji comparisons, & author caught wind of it realizing people were reading her work outside of official sources. she then worked hard to get it published in English and partnered with Copin, then Copin went bankrupt and closed, leaving readers with no platform to read from and the author at a loss where to publish. it was a rollercoaster -- Im sorry to word vomit but the Walmart term just sent me flashbacks. you had to be there
