Hello. I need help looking for a yaoi story, which i believe was found in a oneshot collection.
It began with an old man (i'll call him guy 1) making his way into a devastated city. As he walks, he has a flashback of his younger years. He had a childhood friend who was very sickly and confined to one room. Guy 1 would visit him, and his sickly friend would tell him of the books that he read. One story in particular stood out (about a person waiting for his lover i think). Some time later, (i vaguely remember this part) guy 1 finds out that his sickly friend passed away, leaving only one letter for guy 1. It flash forwards to the future, showing guy 1 (as an old man) standing in what appears to be the room of his sickly friend. He was carrying the letter given to him, and it's shown to be unread after all this time. He finally opens it and it contained a passage from the story the sickly friend told him of (basically a confession).
I know it's a long shot asking someone to remember this story, since it was found in a little more obscure manga, but i would really appreciate it if someone found it. I've been looking everywhere.
Either Sakura Haiji or Honjou Rie me thinks - I haven't found it yet, but I can only remember Manga's by either art or storyline

I'm looking for a story. I think it was found in a oneshot collection. It's about two guys who see each other in the same place before parting ways going to work. They were schoolmates in their university also (I think they weren't really close), so the seme thought it was a coincidence that they work so close to each other. One time, when the seme asked the uke out to go drinking, it was revealed that it was not a coincidence that they work close. Turns out, the uke really chose a workplace close to the seme's so that he was see the seme everyday because the uke had loved the seme from afar.
I knew I had seen this story before so I kept the link with your question. It was by chance I re-read this manga today and I hope that's what you're looking for! :)

I want to reread it so bad. If I remember correctly, it's actually a story within a oneshot collection.
It's about a guy(uke) who can't drink alcohol, so he keeps turning down his co-workers' offer to hangout after work. But he has a kouhai(seme) within the company whom he likes. Seme wanted the uke to go drinking with them, so uke finally agreed, but while they were out, uke accidentally drinks seme's beer instead of his own non-alcoholic drink, which caused him to faint. :P
