I really didn’t mind these side stories and weren’t bad as these comments claim to be. The main story is a shounen ai because it was plot heavy and was in HIGH SCHOOL of course the two main characters are not going to have explicit scenes. These extras are based 7 years later, they are grown adults, and extra chapters are for fun. I like how the author explored into a more “toxic” jealousy with this couple as well because it shows you how differently they handle it compared to the mains from ‘form of sympathy’. This story still had a lighter and cuter undertone than FOS as it always had from the beginning.
But yeah with that being said, if you couldn’t handle the bit of jealousy and explicit scenes from ‘for your love’ then ‘form of sympathy’ will probably not be your cup of tea. They are much more complicated and you’ll perceive them as unnecessary messy if you aren’t willing to read in between the lines.
Beautiful art, absolutely was in love with Sungjae! His eyes were enchanting. Also found it hilarious how he acknowledges the fact that Dohwi was in the wrong for what he had done to him but saw it in a different perspective and practically said “but he did all that cause he really wants me” hahahaha. I loved the main couple, the side couples were also intriguing to read about. Not the most fond of the half brother’s but I’m glad they got their happy ending as well. I’d say this story is highly underrated, it’s beautiful in every aspect and the pacing was great. Had me crying at 2 am TT
Definitely one of my top favorite reads, if there is any story that I would recommend to newcomers it would be this one. It’s a story about growth with flawed characters. I love how relatable both jinhyuk and heechan are, how you can feel their sadness and loneliness through the screen. What I personally enjoyed most was jinhyuk’s development, how he had built walls and was use to keeping to himself and lacked expression. And eventually he was able to open up, was forward with his emotions and would express openly his vulnerability (specifically on the topic of marriage) to jinhyuk. Their relationship is so healthy it hurts. I have only praise for this story, the pacing, the communication, the tears it brought to my eyes, everything. It’s a simple but enjoyable story to put it short! 10/10!!
Read this story a while back but just came to comment that I absolutely adored this story and how well the author protrays these characters personalities authentically from beginning to end. I love how they didn’t become a full 180 of themselves and suddenly are all mushy with one another when that never a aspect of their relationship. They still continue to have their issues, yuri is overly dependent and obsessive, and teach still lacks self esteem. They aren’t a perfect couple but they do not fail to make me laugh and enjoy their dynamic nonetheless. Also this story is a whole rollercoaster, with many outbursts and issues that could’ve been easily solved if they both weren’t so stubborn (especially bastard yuri) but that’s what makes it so loveable. Two hard headed people who are troubled falling in love?! Give me more.
