I've always been very open about who I like. It isn't any different and it's not like it hurts people. At the end of the day if you have to hide who you like and what you like how can you call that a happy and fulfilling life without regrets? Dunno that just me. I hope they talk it out and come to some mutual understanding in their situation.
As far as I know intersex people who are more masculine presenting might be able to get pregnant or more feminine presenting as well. So this could actually be true.

Being intersex itself is a genetic abnormality and if they could pass on their genes then the world would start filling up with people having bizarre chromosome pairs (not the usual xx and xy) and we would be looking at the next stage of human evolution and the extinction of Homo Sapiens.

No, there are people who are intersex who are infertile, however that would be the case for all. Some are infertile and some can have kids.
