The last empress was Lucios stepmother she was Infertile and couldn't have kids so if I'm remembering correctly his mother was a palace maid and the emperor had a child with her the empress adopted him since he was the only heir to the emperor but the empress was really jealous of his mother and abused Lucio till the point where he had panic attacks just thinking about her so one dayshe called him to her room and had covered his birth mother up witha whits sheet like she was dead but she wasnt yet but lucio didnt know this was his mother do the empress told him I'll stop the abuse if you kill the person laying there she handed him a knife and told him to stab her he refused and she started beating him so to get her to stop he just started going crazy stabbing the person after they saw the blood dripping the empress told him that he had killed his birth mother and now till this day he has PTSD a d that's why he has these episodes

Tricia realizes that hes not the same Lucio from the past and she starts fo fall for him and Lucio has major character development and starts to see that what he is doing to Patricia is wrong and that hes doing exactly what his father did to the late empress so he starts to try to change for her and make it up to her he actually becomes a decent husband at the end and they fall in love and all that mushy stuff but he does break it off with Rosemond after she tells him she's using him and calls him a murder for what happened to his birth mother so Rosemund tried fo kill Tricia again and it failed but they ffg didn't have sufficient evidence and they fabricated some of the evidence and lucio knew this but he didn't give af any more and just let her die And nilla marries that blond guy who carriage hit hers Also Nilla and Rosemond were also reincarnated Sorry this I'd everywhere but it's a really really brief summary of the end
