I’m really curious about what his true motivations are behind all this... because he doesn’t seem to be the power hungry type like the pope... maybe he’s like Frollo (from the Hunchback of Norte Dame)
to be fair Zealots, are Zealots, trying to found any form of logic is quite impossible (in any type of religions).
His pretty much sure he was ''chosen'' or invested by God to go to war (Holy War) with the other religion but also believe HE will fix the church and it's corruption.
Because tbh, i won't be surprised that he is aiming to be next pope.
And he give Pope Innocent III vibe...spoiler alert Dude was a TOTAL BUZZKILL !
Going for a crusade and Inquisition at the same....yeah, he was busy to kill A LOT of people !
Spoiler:
1.) Obviously, the Chruch is incredibly corrupt and seeks to have more power.
2.) Shulli is a woman. Not just any woman, but a woman who is currently the head of one of the most powerful families (and wealthiest) in the country. You know how the Church was in those days, they think all a woman is good for is being a broodmare (fucking insecure little bitches). She and the other old widow are the only ones in the council and the Church only tolerates both of them because they have no choice and they’re widows.
3.) They thought they could “handle” Shulli and manipulate her into doing what they want but no, they underestimated her intelligence and found that they were no match for her.
4.) With her dead, and her protection out of the way, they think they’ll be able to manipulate Jeremy into doing what they want (or they can destroy the whole family too and erase the Neuwanstein family from power)
5.) Regardless of how many bad rumors were about her in the first timeline, it can’t be argued that the reason why family didn’t collapse in it’s entirety was because of Shulli.
The art is great! But either the adaptation was not well done, or there are pages missing (I’m thinking the former, unfortunately). The story had too many jumps from point a to point b, causing the over all flow of the story to be jumpy and weird. Overall though it was pretty good. The FL and ML had a relatively healthy relationship (in that the ML isn’t an ass though he still had issues and the FL wasn’t a complete Mary Sue), which was nice.
For all you complaining about the MC not acting her “mental age”, think about this... if you were to go around acting your real age in a fairly young body, how do you think people in a Middle Age time period react to that?
Given most people during that time were plagued by superstition, not very well. In this case I will grant you they are a bit more modern, but the issue still stands... There is actually a webcomic (I forget the name of it, but it’s the one with the Red haired FL and the blonde hair ML), where she tried to act her age and such, and honestly it did nothing for her except make her more miserable; so there.
You have to remember that in a lot of these comics the FL is trying to survive a situation, and so they can’t just whip out their modern know how all Willy-nilly. And in some cases the FL does (eventually) use there past knowledge (i.e. Doctor Elise). But again, in these cases they had to be careful how they went about it, and often had to establish some ground work before they could proceed.
She meant this?
