I like that the mom is struggling to change because honestly before chp 44 and 45 she really hasn't needed to change her ways. She claims shes doting her daughter in this life by buying her nice things and feeding her good food but thats easy when youre the empress. Its only now that she has to change her temper and her willfulness to trully love and respect her daughter
