I think you should tell her! Is she pretty accepting? Of course it isn't a necessity like the others say but I think it would be nice to at least let her know instead of hiding it. Well first you ask her if she wants you to be happy, she'll dedinitely say that she does, because every mother wants their chldren to be happy so then you tell her that you like someone with the same sex, and it'd make you happy if your mother approved your feelings(though you should remind her that you also like the oposite sex)
