Soo ashito is a central midfielder? I'm trying so hard to understand what's so unexpected about his position
Also why when ashito finally does something he immediately hurts his leg
I don’t understand football but I think his position is on defense, specifically the fullback which means he’s supposed to defend either on the left or right of the goal which is the area where most people with that role stay, but Ashito instead constantly leaves the area that he’s supposed to be defending and moves to the complete opposite side of the pitch which is never really done as it leaves the defense line vulnerable. So basically Ashito plays on the full court on offense and defense freely which is kind of unheard of as it’s difficult to execute unless you have a wide field of vision allowing you to fully understand where the best place to be in that moment would be like how Ashito does.
Ig the idea just isn't crazy to me bc my team did that all the time. If there was a chance to let a defender up we did it no problem, but maybe that's an American thing. It is interesting tho bc a huge theme in this is how difficult countries mash!

unpopular opinion sign wasn’t that good. It felt like it didn’t really have much depth to it, felt repetitive, and a lil boring. I still liked it but I was disappointed after everyone kept hyping it up to be an absolute masterpiece.
