I'm not going to lie, the plot development was disappointing. It started out really good and then did a 180 cop out with the MC deciding his whole existence was for this one girl when he only had an attachment to her cause she supposedly looked like his mum. She 100% didn't do anything special or impactful enough to even make me be like, ok it kind of makes sense. It makes no sense at all and just feels like the author was trying to be fake deep about the human experience and life and death, when honestly humans as a species are just trash and no amount of justification or perspective is going to nullify that. It was refreshing at the beginning to see humanity viewed as the villian and as an entire species vs as individuals and that the MC was more of an anti-hero. It's just really disappointing how the plot has developed
