It's been a year and still I haven't forgotten this anime and manga. I can't forget this it's always in my mind and always make me sad.....I really love the story line but not the ending..I totally cried my eyes out when eiji hid ash picture and the meaning of Akira and ash are the same....."Dawn" well I'm going to cry now while reading the manga and listening to sad music

Spatial Isolation or in this translation Spatial Distortion seems to allow them to possibly use a different dimension to fight. Everything stays the same, but the real world does not get damaged and normal citizens are not aware of it.
I was also very curious about the same thing.
When they fight they use a technique called spatial isolation i think so nothing gets damage in real life it might looked like it got destroyed but its not in reality
