Like that old man in a pervious chapter did. The one with the photos of him and Felix.
That man he's running from sent him on a secret mission to Kill Felix, who he failed to kill. Instead went in heat, mated with Felix and broke his arm.
Resulting in the creation of Benjamin. Benjamin is his weakness so he had to delete any trace that he existed. That's why he threw out the postcards and doesn't have anything linking to their connection.
His mom and son need to relocate, he needs to discreetly discover where they relocated to.
In the past he's been too busy running so sex wasn't a luxury he was able to have or think about. He didn't create any unnecessary attachments. Now he's becoming addict to Felix. He's worried how Felix would act if suddenly left without warning. He wants to find a way to somehow continue his contact with Felix but knows it's dangerous.
It seems he was found, by who we don't know but the gun to his head and the way it ended is suspenseful.
