Well they r demons and there is hardly any loyalty so I felt it was going that way with his behaviour so far anything is possible, the guy only started killing for his lovers attention and the lover is dead so the desire to kill also died with him. Desires r strong but revenge is stronger and only a demon can kill a demon humans can't do it on their own

Doesn't really answer your point, but I can see a parallel in the feelings he has towards Kageyama and his current role as waka gashira. Both offer a sense of familiarity and security, but are never realised. His romantic unrequited feelings for Kageyama and his feelings as being a yakuza come off as more apathetic, more distant at this point. However, it would take courage and opportunity for him to move on from this, even if he no longer wants to be the person he had been.

In regards to the yakuza role as a whole, it was something coerced onto him by Misumi, he understood that money makes their world go round, but instead of relying on the same tactics that he saw others use like he shouting and beatings, he used his wit and weaponised his identity as "masohist" "pervert" and so on, even if this didn't do much to improve his wellbeing. It's only really been with Doumeki where we saw Yashiro let down his guard, he didn't have to pretend to be the image that others see him as. Even if Hirata is technically his superior and group parent now, it was Misumi who was the one who made him waka gashira, and now wants to promote him. It's Misumi who he still uses his "act" with, but he unlike with most others, sees right through this. Even though they are criminals, it was he who lifted him out of poverty and gave him some sort of family, (even if it's fake and they try to shoot each other :P ). So there might be some personal feelings of obligation towards him, as well as having to leave a world he's known for nearly twenty years, with all of the issues relating to his mental health, and into a complete unknown, with no one, no family, no friends, no job mates he can call up to give him a reference. As to how he could leave, would he even be allowed to? Ryuuzaki was kumicho (top boss) and was thrown out over (Hirata's instigated) drug deal. Hirata's underling was thrown out after he was caught with Yashiro, so likely was easier to throw out over a personal grievance due to his lower status. Yashiro hasn't done anything apparently to get him at risk of expulsion, he brings in the money .... until now. He was framed with Ryuuzaki for the drug deal, and only Misumi seems to get and support that it is Hirata who is the culprit. The police now being involved in something as serious as trafficking drugs led to an expulsion of aa boss. Misumi doesn't want Yashiro gone, but what will the other Doushinkai members do?

So he isn't making an honest effort to get out...he is just doing his thing and wants to be left alone but Misumi's ambitions and Hirata's jealousy are screwing up that modus operandi. What paths are open to Yashiro now?

Who knows? Thanks to Hirata framing him and colluding with Inami, the organised crime unit of the police are after him. However Yashiro does have a connection with Inami's senpai in the force, so maybe he might show up to play his role. Drug trafficking and a mass murder (of the Gouda group) are not light crimes to be accused of, Ryuuzaki was expelled from the group, and his own group disbanded over the deal, so maybe the head branch could expel Yashiro. Amou said that expelling Hirata would be too tricky right now due to the battle for succession, so maybe Yashiro has a higher value to the group too. Misumi would likely object to Yashiro being expelled from the group, as he knows he's innocent, but fellow members might think differently. It's not even been a day since the Gouda murders, so retaliation for this is likely still to come. How can Yashiro get out, what would he go out to? Being part of the group was something he had little choice in, and it did end up giving him a role he could play. He did his job, ended up being the "actor" he spoke about as a kid, earned the money, and protected Kageyama. In regards to Doumeki showing him a path out, seeing as that seems the most common assumption, yes from the start Yashiro was able to be more authentic with Doumeki, but at the end of the day, they have only known each other for a few months. Yashiro is being shot at weekly now, and doesn't want to be responsible for causing others to die or be injured, for personal reasons too. He doesn't want Doumeki to be stuck in the group like he is, and unlike Yashiro, Yashiro thinks Doumeki has the opportunity to have a civilian, normal life, due to Yashiro's poor self image. We have seen Doumeki try to convey to his boss that he can see beyond his 'act", which is a bit more empowering than when Kage or Ryuuzaki told him to get out of the group. It's not going to be easy for Yashiro to be able to move on, not just from the yakuza, but emotionally developing too.

Well we know death isn't the only way out of the group. We can assume Yashiro has put some cash aside for himself and may be able to live out his life on that if given the chance. It's possible that Misumi may garner more support for his succession if he officially cut ties with him.

Yashiro's personal wealth/lifestyle hasn't really been touched on really. When he came to Misumi's attention, he was basically destitute, having being abandoned by his mum and not being able to pay the rent on his house for months. It's unclear whether the house he was not paying rent on at age 19, was the same childhood home referenced throughout though. Yashiro has no issue with making money, albeit in not the most legal manner, but it doesn't seem like he personally values such. Money is power in the world he is in, he needs to treat this skill as a weapon, rather than personal gain. He has a flat now, but maybe this is tied to his groups portfolio, hence why he was trying to get Doumeki to not give up his independence and retain his own flat. Given his economic circumstances, and mindset, I wonder if Misumi created Yashiro's yakuza image, taking him to get his hair slicked back, getting him his suits, maybe even being the one who prompted him to get a driving license and car. For Yashiro now, such imagery is just part of the role he plays, when he wore a t-shirt, the other yakuza men commented on such a relatively scruffy look. When Yashiro is maybe dropping his guard, or unable to adopt his role, he isn't so concerned with wearing the suits and having the parted smart hair. Just like Doumeki wears a uniform in order to try and fit in, otherwise it's denim jeans and a T-shirt when he is dressed how he wants to. Hirata was flagged up for stockpiling money, and was maybe trying to run away with his booty, so what personal wealth they can make as kumichou and wakagashira must be decent, but maybe not too extravagant. So Yashiro has likely has the financial means and skills to survive outside the group, but not really the opportunity or motivation to make that leap. In regards to your last point, that's interesting as I don;t think anyone has brought up the possibility of it being Misumi who cuts ties with Yashiro, and whether his personal motivations would mean he would sacrifice this relationship, not too sure about that, maybe though.

Hirata racked up piles of cash in a short tim, easily suspicious. Yashiro has had years to put a little away here and there. Remember how quickly he got the money to pay Misumi back when he was 19?' Also there are some side stories where Y says he doesn't spend much of his cash except on condoms, food, and sex toys. For safety sake I doubt Ys flat is tied to the group, I hope not. Y dresses differently than the others...he wears 3 pc suits whereas others just wear the 2pc...which is part of why he looks so much better, I'm gonna bet he developed his own style after observation like a good method actor

Yep. On another note, I liked how the author showed that the gang conflicts were being reported by the local press. When Japan's biggest yakuza group went to war with itself, and people were killed it was reported in the international media, so the conflict of their group might be as major as this. The police now will likely have greater authority to search the groups offices, arrest members etc after the drugs bust and mass murders, despite it still only concerning "family" members as opposed to civilians being caught up. The author could show little details, like maybe how Yashiro/Hirata have to give more loyalty payments to the head group seeing as Matsubara is no more maybe.

Hmm I didn't realize it made the media irl but in story, yakuza insiders like Y shared info cops wouldn't find on their own so I doubt the repercussions would be significant also I doubt intragroup loyalty payments could be researched and made public by an outside source and an inside leak of info like that would be in trouble.
I know that yakuza try to keep civilians out of their biz but I wonder if Hirata or Misumi would use Kage as leverage/pressure on Y..he is their go to doctor and it is widely enough known that the location was used for an assassination attempt...
