As a mentally ill American, I really wonder if that's how people see shrinks (which are usually referred to psychologists, and not psychiatrists per se). For the longest time, going to a psychiatrist meant a benzo prescription or some kind of damage control to the symptoms of a mental illness. I've had several psychiatrists in the last few years, and it felt more like a pseudoscience the more I looked at it. Any medication that I was on and the dosage, I asked to be on it. Even without my personal experience, with the lack of access to healthcare, seeing a "shrink" isn't as normalized in America as it is portrayed in this series. The commendable model of mental illness treatment is definitely not from the U.S.

he's a pushover, i know these men, they think they're always upholding some sort of moral standards, but at the end of the day, it's all just cowardice, a need of validation, and a fear of rejection from his female pursuits. He doesn't know how to say no, nor does he know how and where to draw the line. His marriage crumbled bc he couldn't properly communicate with his wife about their sex life, then the final straw was bs he couldn't draw a clear line with the nurse. If you like wishy washy goody two shoes male character, I suggest, even if this is a BL, Kyuuso Ha Cheese no Yume Omiru, ML is exactly like this guy.
It's so nice that we finally get to see a fast paced manga without feeling rushed. Whew.
