What i found out has nothing to do with this part but karinos mum is the real reason karinos father became the minister. Apparently karinos father didn't feel any love for karinos mum so he cheated her with tatsumis mum and karinos mum hates tatsumi. This is the reason why Karino has to be the next minister because his father must fix the mistake he made or smth like that.

What a twist. Both inside and outside school.

OMG, I hope I don't get too many feels when chapter 18 gets translated... ;______; So Karino doesn't even want to be the next minister?? It sounds like Karino's parents had an arranged marriage...? Poor Tatsumi for getting hate since he's the reminder of an affair... :((

We don't know what karino thinks yet though. We really need a chapter from his point of view. And maybe karinos mother fell in love with this man and he married her only for the position and money. Her father was a really powerful person. This probably left her broken because she indeed seems broken...

jeez....but she seems powerful and probably is the one who has control. Karinos father seemed cold but she probably controls him. At least I hope so, I would hate it if she is a victim, tired of rich women being victims when she had more power than the man.

I feel bad for all three characters. :( Regarding Tatsumi... I hope it's not the situation where Karino's mother allowed the father to fund Tatsumi and his mother on the condition that Tatsumi must work for the father and not be the next minister. It would be sad if both Tatsumi and Karino never had a say in their futures...

Damn, that's messed up how people would do anything for money and power. Did the media know about Tatsumi and his mother? Because if they keep it a secret but then it broke out, the media would crucified Tatsumi and his mom. But being a loveless child from a power marriage is also painful.

I don't think the media knows about Tatsumi and his mother. When the father was ill, Tatsumi's mother wanted to go to the hospital to visit him. Their maid stopped Tatsumi's mother by saying that Karino's mom would be there, and then on TV, we saw Karino and his family coming home. Since the media knows where Karino's family lives, I would not be surprised if Tatsumi's mother never even went to their house. + I agree with you; the media would have crucified Tatsumi and his mom.

I wonder if it's due to sex that she won't be the next minister...? That would suck if Karino's sister does want to be the next minister but can't due to how sexist their nation is. ;____;

So far i know this : Karino doesn't hate his mum but they are not that close and he also talks about that with Azusa and karino also makes a joke how Azusa has an edipo complex because he cares too much about his mother.
