they did it in front of him the first time and he pulled one of them to the side in secret so theyd stop bringing hazel up.. ill admit lyle was closing himself off again after the fact but ash was absolutely knew what was going on especially bc he never even told his friend hazel was a cheater and thats why theyre not together

It's just one chapter (26) if I remember correctly. It's not between the main couple and I feel like it's more like to create a dramatic effect for the scene later. You know, the others coming late to save the day lmao
The main couple doesn't even ever talk about the SA and at the end (couple years later) "victim" and "perpetrator" still have roughly the same relationship as before lol
I actually found it so weird they included it... like I was: "Huh? Now? Why? TPO for SA should smh exist too? It was also a bit more of a light version of SA btw. Feels like the author forced it in cause it was a trend at that time? rofl
I feel you may even be able to skip whole ch 26 or maybe just read last few panels or just ask in comments what 26 is about plotwise without the SA... it totally works without it. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
