imagine being a highly trained militia and getting your ass beat by a single 16/17 year old who’s taking a sick day of school ?

Main characters in fantasy mangas fall under 1 of 3 categories for me they’re either ignorant of their strength, hyper aware of their strength or don’t take into account the way their strength affects the people around them. But this MC manages to be unaware of his strength while being ... entirely aware of everything else at the same time ?

He has played the game so he should know that if a wolf is considered C in this world is a beginner level monster in the original game that the power levelling system is different. Onto my second point the world building is annoying. There are animals the mc hasn’t heard of and a lot of the animals have different levels but the exact same drugs work in this world and the same spells work and the church has the exact same god where you can do the exact same thing you can do in the game ? and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why there are some differences (by reason i mean they don’t follow a logical chain of reasoning).

At first i thought maybe the lore was just different so it added more characters and interactions etc. but then we’re confronted with a character that’s stronger than the MC (the guy he fights after he leaves the old cathedral) which makes me question the levelling system more.

A lot of my questions will probably get answered later but i thought i’d just say them in case anybody feels the same way. I enjoy magic and power levelling systems so this is up my alley but if you prefer more structured world building that’s follows more logical chains of reasoning you might not like this as much

If you like this i recommend otherworldly sword king (very very very similar premise) and for a novel i recommend everyone else is a returnee - they both make commentary on loneliness, being stuck in tutorial stages and all have something adjacent to a system.

I knew me and this story would be in a toxic relationship when i saw how low the main characters eyes were on her face. 80% forehead and none of it is full of anything useful

These villainess stories are always bordering on being mildly sapphic (gay). The people who have the biggest impacts, who they care for the most, who they’d put themselves in harms way to protect are always other women. Id be bitter too if i was the crown prince quite frankly, all that tap dancing for affection and you’re not even the person who had the most profound impact on her ? embarrassing.

This has the same story mechanisms as tomb raider king (humans bad emotions fuelling the dungeons, relics being able to have egos, infighting between relic owners, main character possessing scouting and analytical skills and the main characters main purpose being revenge)

I bet they had to turn time back urgently because mrs piss hair ruined the world and i bet it’s the father that had to do it too. Also i hope the duke swallows a belt buckle. i mean that with all disrespect. Ignoring the fact that he killed his daughter he’s just a shitty parent and now he wants to appease her by giving her strawberry shortcake ?!?!
