Okay a few things.
Firstly, I absolutely love the “standing my ground and voicing my wants” vibes Sumire gives off. A strong fl is always good, can’t go wrong with that.
Secondly, Reo looks like an entirely different person. It took me a second to wrap my head around his new appearance.
Thirdly, I adore Inowaki, he’s just happy to be involved. I love him.
Fourthly, Rio the true best friend with the “let me know when you need an alibi” card.
And lastly, the age gap. That is 7 years and not in a good way. There is no grooming, but 16 and 23 rubs me the wrong way. If it was 23 and 30 then that’s different, but, I don’t know. I guess his new appearance makes him look younger, but still. I don’t know if I can get past the age gap on this one no matter how cute the story is.

I left this for a while and came back, and now I’m just on edge. Someone in the comments said how Gaku doesn’t seem like a ml but instead an unforgettable ex, and now I can’t unsee it lol. I think their relationship screams the “right person, wrong time” because both of them are trying to make something out of themselves and are focusing too much on their individual careers. Sure they care for one another, but they’ll end up breaking each other in the process.

All I have to say that is that I started reading this because of the anime. Anime is so well done and I think it’s really good. I honestly thought the animation followed the manhua, but I was so disappointed. I read it for the plot, which I enjoyed. Decent drama for sure, but I could not get behind the illustration of the characters in the manhua. 7/10 would be my overall rating.

I feel like there is lots that could’ve been expanded on, but overall I think it’s a great story! I’ll definitely buy the physical copies, it’s worth it lol.

For those wanting spoilers, considering the fact that the light novel volume 3 ends with “The Hunt” arc where Maomao gropes Jinshi’s frog, which was only about 10ish chapters ago; I’d recommend reading light novel volume 4 because that is the point the manga is currently in. Though, someone correct me if I am wrong because it has been a while since I read vol. 4. All I know is that this is the point where shit takes off, and the manga does upload super slow and it doesn’t help that it’s one chapter per month. So everyone is just better of reading the novels.
Another side note, no one can just spoil anything without spilling a shit ton of other information in the process because there is just so much. You actually need to read it in order to understand and grasp the context fully of what is happening.

Whatever the hell compelled me to read this, I rebuke its force right now. But when is the next update?

While I have previously expressed that I like the second ml more, I just can’t help but be swooned by the main ml when he blushes like that. I just wish his actions aligned with his words more. He says he likes her but pushes her away when she leans in for a kiss. Their dynamic edges me.

See how he didn’t have sex with her in that drunken state? Very mindful, very considerate, very green flag like. We like a man who can restrain himself.

Ugh, the way the ml is with the fl is giving me butterflies. Very expressive, very aggressive, very passionate, very cutesy. I approve of this. I hope more comes soon!
